Adult Acne, and Hands She Hid
The Nourishment Experience Project

An observational participant series documenting individual experiences following personalized Allow Nourishment skincare protocols. Participants complete an intake assessment, receive an individualized routine, submit weekly questionnaires, provide photographs throughout the observation period, and complete a final evaluation. These reports summarize participant-reported experiences and photographic observations. They are not controlled clinical trials.

Participant AN-006 enrolled on June 1, 2026 with adult acne going back to 2017 and hand eczema going back to childhood. Her intake form contains one of the more resigned sentences in the series: “I have tried literally everything, unfortunately.”

Summary

Participant
K.A. — AN-006
Primary concerns
Adult acne, oily skin, chronic hand eczema, dry skin, acne scarring
Study length
5 weeks
Compliance
40% in week one, then 70–100%
Satisfaction
9/10
Key outcome
Improvement in facial clarity, hydration, texture, and chronic hand eczema

“My skin feels healthier, more hydrated, smoother, and more confident than it has in a long time.”

Presenting concerns

K.A. enrolled seeking a simplified routine after years of adult acne, skin that was oily yet dehydrated, acne scarring, and chronic hand eczema. She had tried numerous conventional and natural products with little lasting success.

Baseline assessment

Skin type
Combination — oily facial skin, acne-prone complexion, dry skin, and chronic eczema.
Duration
Adult acne since approximately 2017; eczema since childhood.
Previous products
Turmeric facial soap, natural handmade soap, Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap, and numerous others.
Goals
Reduce acne, improve texture, fade scars, restore the skin barrier, and eliminate eczema.

Her individualized protocol

Morning and evening routines were individualized from the participant’s intake assessment.

Compliance and lifestyle

Week Compliance Water Sleep Stress Satisfaction Improvement
1 40% 40–60 oz 1/5 1/5 5/10 1/5
2 100% 40–60 oz 4/5 5/5 8/10 4/5
3 70% 40–60 oz 4/5 4/5 8/10 4/5
4 100% 60–80 oz 5/5 5/5 9/10 5/5

Self-reported weekly. Sleep and stress are 1–5 scales; satisfaction is 1–10. Week one is the lowest single row in the entire series — 40% compliance, 1/5 sleep, 1/5 stress, 1/5 improvement — and week two is one of the sharpest recoveries.

Week by week

Weeks 1–2

K.A. noticed reduced inflammation, healthier texture, less facial oiliness, and significant improvement in her chronic hand eczema by week two.

“The dryness, small bumps, and eczema/contact-dermatitis-like appearance… have improved dramatically and are now almost completely gone.”

Weeks 3–4

She reported brighter, healthier skin, smoother texture, fewer breakouts, improved eczema, and increased confidence, alongside healthier lifestyle habits during the same period.

“My skin has become noticeably brighter, smoother, and clearer with fewer breakouts, my eczema has improved significantly, and I’m really happy with the progress so far.”

Final assessment

K.A. completed approximately five weeks and reported substantial improvements in facial skin quality and chronic hand eczema. She rated her overall improvement 5/5 and described the Born Again Mist as a non-negotiable part of her routine.

“My eczema is virtually gone, my face is clearer with less oil production, and I finally feel comfortable showing my hands again.”

Five weeks, side by side

Her documentation is almost entirely of her hands — the thing she said at intake she had always been self-conscious about showing.

Photographs submitted by the participant, unretouched and uncropped. They were taken at home rather than under controlled conditions, so lighting, background, and camera angle vary between sessions.

In her words, before

“Overall skin health — acne, dry skin, eczema.”

In her words, after

“I finally feel comfortable showing my hands again.”

Researcher discussion

Weekly questionnaires, participant narratives, and photographic documentation supported progressive improvement in acne, hydration, complexion, facial oil balance, texture, and chronic hand eczema. It is worth noting that her sleep and stress scores improved sharply at the same time as her skin, and the two cannot be separated in an observational report of this kind.

Study limitations

This report represents a single observational participant experience. Individual results may vary.
