One Month, Combination Skin, and Early Pregnancy
The Nourishment Experience Project

An observational participant series documenting individual experiences following personalized Allow Nourishment skincare protocols. Participants complete an intake assessment, receive an individualized routine, submit weekly questionnaires, provide photographs and videos, and complete a final evaluation. These reports document participant-reported experiences and observations. They are not controlled clinical trials.

Participant AN-008 enrolled on May 31, 2026 for a one-month observation — the shortest in the series. Partway through it, she became pregnant, which makes her results the hardest in the series to attribute cleanly. Both facts are reported here.

Summary

Participant
M.P. — AN-008
Primary concerns
Combination skin, clogged pores, persistent chin blackheads, recurring breakouts
Study length
Approximately 1 month
Compliance
70% in week one, 100% weeks 2–4
Key outcome
Improved hydration, softer skin, reduced dryness, participant-reported improvement in chin blackheads

“My blackheads on my chin have shrunk — there isn’t a dry area anymore.”

Presenting concerns

M.P. enrolled seeking support for combination skin with persistent clogged pores, blackheads, and recurring breakouts. She had previously used Good Molecules, La Roche-Posay, The Ordinary, and CeraVe while looking for a routine with simpler ingredients. Her stated goal was two words: less breakouts.

Baseline assessment

Skin type
Combination.
Duration
Since she was a teenager.
Previous products
Good Molecules, La Roche-Posay, The Ordinary, CeraVe.
Goals
Reduce breakouts, improve clogged pores and blackheads.

Her individualized protocol

Morning and evening routines were individualized from the participant’s intake assessment.

Compliance and lifestyle

Week Compliance Water Sleep Nutrition Stress Confidence
1 70% 100+ oz 3/5 3/5 5/5 5/10
2 100% 100+ oz 3/5 3/5 2/5 6/10
3 100% 100+ oz 3/5 3/5 2/5 6/10
4 100% 100+ oz 1/5 5/5 3/5 2/10

Self-reported weekly. Sleep, nutrition and stress are 1–5 scales; confidence is 1–10. Her week-four confidence score dropped to 2/10 alongside 1/5 sleep — the same week her pregnancy was underway. Her skin reports that week remained positive.

Week by week

Weeks 1–2

M.P. reported less irritation, improved hydration, softer skin, and fewer blackheads.

“My blackheads on my chin have shrunk — there isn’t a dry area anymore.”

Weeks 3–4

She continued reporting improved hydration and described her skin as glowing. She also reported hormonal fluctuations due to early pregnancy.

Final assessment

After approximately one month of consistent use, M.P. reported softer, more hydrated skin, less dryness, and improvement in chin blackheads. She continued to recommend the Calendula products.

Photographs submitted by the participant, unretouched and uncropped. They were taken at home rather than under controlled conditions, so lighting, clothing, and camera angle vary between sessions.

In her words, before

“My concerns are my blackheads and my chin is always struggling.”

In her words, after

“After using Allow Nourishment, my skin feels softer.”

Researcher discussion

Across four weeks, M.P. improved adherence after the first week and consistently reported improvements in hydration and comfort. Pregnancy began during the observation period, and it is an important contextual factor when interpreting these results: hormonal change of that magnitude affects skin independently of any routine. Her reported improvements should be read with that in mind.

Study limitations

This report represents a single observational participant experience. Outcomes are based primarily on participant-reported observations supported by weekly documentation, photographs, and video. Individual results may vary and these findings should not be interpreted as evidence of clinical efficacy.
